Armless UP Boy Writes with His Feet, Aces Class 10 Exams and Dreams of Becoming an Engineer

Armless UP Boy Writes with His Feet, Aces Class 10 Exams and Dreams of Becoming an Engineer

Once mocked by his peers for not having arms, Ajay Kumar today dreams of becoming an engineer.

Sixteen-year-old Ajay Kumar has excelled in his Class 10 UP Board exam with 71.8%. If you are wondering, what’s new in this, wait till you know.

Born armless in Bhogaon village of Manipuri district, UP, Ajay Kumar trained himself in such a way that he can use his feet just like his hands. He can hold the pencil in between his toes and can write just like anyone with arms.

Ajay gave the board exams from SR Inter College and scored 431 marks out of 600. He has resolved to score 80% and above in future exams.

Against All Odds

In a telephonic interview with The Times of India, Ajay, while holding the phone in his feet said, “I know who I am and what I have. I’ll make the best from it and never give up.”

Ajay also uses his feet for all other regular functions like feeding himself and brushing his teeth. “I think, if I had arms I could have done better but nevertheless now my feet are my arms,” he added.

While most people are encouraging, some even laugh at Ajay. However, there is no decrease in Ajay’s determination. Although his siblings dropped out of school after Class 8, Ajay dreams of becoming an engineer.

“When he was born we were very worried about how he would lead a normal life without arms. But over the years he has proved that his disability cannot stop him from achieving what he wants,” said Dayaram, Ajay’s proud father.

We salute Ajay’s remarkable resolve and wish him all the success in life.
