1. He uses Rightly the Right to Information (RTI)! He is a Delhi-based cloth merchant who scooped out, through an RTI request, the shocking fact that Rs 35 lac were spent to renovate a toilet of the Planning Commission. He reads the news and files RTI requests on matters like the selection criteria for national awards, the assets of judges and the prevalence of bigamy among Members of Parliament!

2. An eco-friendly milk van!?! Yes, that’s ‘Kamdhenu’ of Mother Dairy (Delhi). On Thursday it launched ‘Kamdhenu’ to transport loose milk in different parts of Delhi and adjoining regions. It is part of the dairy’s efforts to do away with 5.75 tonnes of plastic pollutants daily in and around the national capital.

An unknown Urdu poet of yester-years had said “Dard-e-dil ke vaaste paidaa kiyaa insaan ko, warnaa ta-aat ke liye kuchh kum nahin they karro-bayaan (The Almighty created human-beings to feel and fathom the compassion to share others’ pain, otherwise great natural elements like the sun, moon, stars, clouds, rivers, lakes, oceans, hills and jungles were enough to worship the Creator!). Sheer compassion only must have moved the Judges of Delhi High Court to be concerned about children of five mothers serving one year detention for begging and order their freedom!
