Indian Railways is planning to launch smart coaches with luxurious interiors that will make train journeys more comfortable for travellers. The plan will most likely be announced in the Railway Budget to be presented in Parliament on February 25.
According to a report in The Times of India, the coaches will have WiFi connections, water vending machines and a lot more. Here are eight things to look forward to:
1. Smart coaches will have passenger information systems with audio announcements similar to aeroplanes. Interactive voice-based assistance from the train conductors will also be available.
