Take a Look at These 10 Pictures of India Gate in All Its Glory

Here some photographs that beautifully capture India Gate. It assumes special significance on Republic Day.

The India Gate, a war memorial, sits on the east end of the Rajpath in New Delhi. It assumes special significance on Republic Day as the Prime Minister of India visits the Amar Jawan Jyoti every year, before the annual parade begins. The Amar Jawan Jyoti is the eternal flame which honours every unknown soldier who gave up his life for the country. The India Gate was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and was inaugurated in 1931 by Viceroy Lord Irwin.

On the eve of India’s 67th Republic Day, here are some mesmerising photographs of India Gate.
