On May 7, 2015, I was travelling from Ahmedabad to Delhi with my family. We boarded the Ashram Express (Train No. – 12915), and our seats were reserved in B1, a 3-tier AC coach.

On boarding the train, we found that the air conditioner was not working and passengers of other AC coaches were also complaining about the same. We waited for some time hoping that once the train starts, the AC will start working. But nothing changed even after an hour. When we told the coach attendant about this, he didn’t seem to care.

This was when I sent an SMS to the complaint number – 8121281212.

I got a reply within a few minutes.

And within the next 30 minutes, the air conditioner started working.

It’s not just the government that needs to take steps for the development of our country, but we as individuals are also responsible to take action and help streamline the system.

Three cheers to the Ministry of Railways.
