Here is a collection of some tweets, with 50 year old pictures, that commemorate the bravery and valour displayed by Indian soldiers during the 1965 Indo-Pak war. Saluting the selfless soldiers who put their lives on the line for their nation.

It has been 50 years since the 1965 India-Pak war – a battle in which many Indian soldiers showed immense courage and put their lives in danger to protect the nation.

The war was fought on the western front. For over three weeks, more than 100,000 Indian soldiers fought against Pakistan’s 60,000 troops. Indian troops captured the Haji Pir Pass on Aug. 28 and the two countries agreed to a UN sponsored ceasefire on Sept. 22.

Here are some tweets and pictures which have been published by Press Information Bureau’s Directorate of Public Relations, Defence, to commemorate the sacrifices, the courage and the selflessness of our brave soldiers.
