In a breathtaking display that enthralled New Yorkers, the Empire State Building became the canvas on which light artists drew the image of Kali! Her fierce avatar was used to showcase the destruction that awaits the world if wildlife species are allowed to go extinct.
Artist Android Jones is the man behind the spectacular portrait of Goddess Kali that lit up the New York skyline on the last day of an exhibit showcasing various animals on the verge of extinction.
Filmmaker Louie Psihoyos put up the exhibition called Projecting Change to highlight the dangers of species extinction and appeal for conservation.
Images of endangered animals were displayed on the façade of the Empire State Building for several days.
The finale came in the form of Goddess Kali, who is both gentle mother and fierce warrior — a perfect representation of Mother Nature who can nurture and destroy at will what human beings do not respect and take care of.
