Indian Army Recruitment is Now Shifting Online, Beginning this September

The first drive of online recruitment for the Indian Army is all set to be launched on September 4th.

The Army recruitment rally has now shifted to an online platform. Introduced on the Directorate General Recruiting’s new website, which was launched in June, the first phase is all set to begin in two months.

The first online recruitment rally for the Indian Army for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry will begin on September 4th when the applications will go live.

“The candidates can clarify all Army recruitment related queries from the online mobile application ‘Army Calling’. The application provides live chat facility in vernacular language for the aspiring candidates and can be downloaded from Google Play Store,” a Defence release in Chennai said.

This is the first time when a paradigm change has occurred in the process of recruitment of the Indian Army – from open rally system to an online-application based system.

According to the release the first online recruitment will be “held for districts of Chennai, Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Vellore, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Tiruvannamalai and Puducherry from 4 September 2015″.

The statement also mentioned the necessary requirements which the candidate will be expected to have – matriculation certificate and personal details, including permanent address, verification/domicile certificate, personal e-mail ID and personal mobile number.

Hopefully, this will serve as good news for potential applicants of the country, aiming for a post in the Indian Army.
