1. Plant a Tree and Camp for free – Mumbai

The dedicated tree plantation program in association with the Maharashtra Forest Department works toward communicating the idea of “Planting one tree means planting a whole living system” to masses. Its Imperative to plant at-least 10 trees provided by forest official. More details. Drop mail at – [email protected] for registration and other details.

2. March for animal liberation – Various cities across India

For the first time in India, a nation-wide march is set to take place across 15 cities (and counting) to sensitise people to the fact that animals are individuals like us who deserve freedom, not commodification; when we use animal products and services we rob them of their deeply cherished freedom. India Against Speciesism, a volunteer group, is pleased to invite you to the march, India Marches for Animal Liberation.

The participating cities include Delhi/NCR, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Jammu, Wardha, etc. The city-wise details (contact info, timings, routes) can be found here.

The Delhi walk will happen in a circle around Connaught Place from 5 to 6:45 pm starting at A Block in front of ICICI bank. You are requested to come at 5:30 pm. More details.

3. Start-up Weekend Social Innovation – Bengaluru

Have you ever been really frustrated about a social issue? Have you always thought of doing something about it but never really got around to do this? If you have an idea and want to test it – Then this event is for you!!

The event will gather some of the most passionate people to work together to solve some of the world’s toughest challenges. Start-up Weekend is a 54 hour event where you’ll get to meet developers, business guys and designers together to make awesome cross functional teams and discover what entrepreneurs can do together. 4. Fun With Plants – Bengaluru

Play some games and activities that will make you use all your senses; that will take you back to the root of connection we share with the natural world. This time, the session is open for all ages! Bring your kids along and allow them to show everyone all the wonder of plants. More details.

5. Startup Weekend SHE  – Bengaluru
