Is Instant Food Bad for You? Not If You Stock These 6 Healthy Choices!

The very term ‘instant food’ starts ringing loud alarm bells in our heads. We all know how heavily infused they are with chemicals and preservatives!

But snacks are still an essential part of our meals and skipping them is not recommended.

So what do you do? Get ready-to-make snacks that are nutritious, free of harmful chemicals and tasty of course! Heres a list:

1. Instant noodles:

Convenient as they may be to cook, your ordinary off-the-shelf instant noodles are packed with more harmful chemicals than taste. Switch to healthier choices and eat chemical-free alternatives made of nutritious grains like little millet, Bajra, Ragi, red rice etc.

2. Millet Pancakes:

Who says they are only for breakfast? Whip up a tasty dish of pancakes with fresh fruits – at any time!

This instant pancake mix comes in various flavours and can energise you for the remainder of the day.

Add a dollop of organic honey, spread some chemical-free nut butter and your delicious mid-day snack is ready!

3. Pasta:

Low on gluten and highly nutritious, this instant pasta is made of tapioca flour, flaxseeds, chickpeas and multi-millets – among several such healthy ingredients. 5 pm snacks are set to be guilt-free for working professionals, kids and everyone else who loves a bowlful of delicious pasta.

4. Instant Dosa:

Who doesn’t like Dosa with chutney or ghee? Time doesn’t matter when it comes to this delicious snack, and we are making Dosa even more healthy for you.

Just by replacing Rava with healthier grains like Bajra or Ragi, you can make your meal a notch better.

5. Cereal/ Granola:

One of the easiest go-to food is a bowl of cereal or granola with milk. Now you could go for the same old grains, OR you could make a conscious choice of eating cereal made of the choicest of healthy ingredients.

Granola sets yet another standard for healthy snacking by including dry-fruits in it.

6. Ready to cook dried jackfruit:

If you are one to munch on chips to satisfy your hunger, we come with good news. These ready-to-cook jackfruit chips can be boiled or fried, as per your taste, and either way, are much healthier than any fried chips you will find in the market.

You don’t always have to feel guilty about taking shortcuts in cooking. Instant foods can be healthy if you make the right choices.
