Life was as good as it could get until the day of delivery. A complication during delivery led to excessive bleeding and unfortunately, the girl lost her life, soon after delivering the twins.
The couple was so intertwined that he was just unable to come to terms with losing her. 20 days after her demise, he passed away.
They left behind the twins who are completely unaware of all that happened in less than a month after their birth.
They are now being raised by their grandparents.
When the twins were 2.5 years old, it was found that the girl twin, named Arushi, suffers from Congenital Pseudarthrosis, a disorder which could lead to a number of issues with the joints and bones as she grew older.
At an age when the grandfather had envisioned playing with his grandchildren, he is spending time running from pillar to post to collect money for Arushi’s surgery that needs to be performed immediately to ensure that her growth is not stunted.
They say if you wish for something with all your heart, the universe will conspire to make it happen. In this case, that is exactly what happened.
A fundraising page was set up by Humans of Bombay, and in six hours, kind people browsing the internet poured their love by donating close to Rs 17 lakh for the surgery.
