Best in India, This City’s 4G Availability Beats That of Singapore and Hong Kong!

Have you had 4G internet woes lately? Has the show of your choice stopped buffering when you were in-transit somewhere, thus depriving you of entertainment?

Or worse still, did the lack of good internet cause maps to malfunction while you were out exploring?

Well, if you are in this Indian city, you will never face 4G issues, as the internet connection availability is the best in the country, according to the Economic Times.

Kolkata, the City of Joy, has the highest 4G services availability across India’s 22 telecom circles according to OpenSignal, a UK mobile analytics company and speed tester.

From May to July 2018, OpenSignal analysed data on 4G availability and Kolkata scored 90.7%, beating Singapore (86.6%), Hong Kong (90.4%), Taipei (89.8%), Kuala Lumpur (80.8%), Yangon (82.8%), Jakarta (83.8%) and Manila (78.5%).

Speaking to the Economic Times, Brendan Gill, the CEO of the firm said, “Kolkata is India’s top region for 4G availability, being the only circle in the country with a hugely impressive LTE availability score of over 90%.”

Of the 21 remaining circles in India, Northern and Eastern states have dominated the list, and have notched up 4G availability scores of over 80%, according to OpenSignal’s latest data. As a result, India’s overall score on 4G availability is now at 86.3%.

The increasing LTE network of India’s top mobile operators has been the key reason behind the upsurge of 4G availability, say experts quoted in ET.
