Now You Can Rent Self-Drive Cars For International Road Trips in 170 Countries!

Renting a car on an international vacation, and going on a road trip, like the famous Bollywood Movie “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” is indeed the dream of many who love to travel. Well, thanks to this initiative, now you can.

An Indian car-rental company has integrated its international self-drive service on their website and mobile app, for Indian travellers going to foreign shores.

The Financial Express reports that Avis is the first car-rental company in the country, which will enable customers to book a self-drive car in 170 countries, with over 5,500 rental locations.

According to the UN World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), India will account for 50 million outbound tourists by 2020, which means the future of international self-drive car rental is indeed promising.

With the holiday season coming up, customers are searching for self-drive services in top international locations, like the USA, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Canada, Ireland, France and Spain, among others.

Earlier, the process of renting a car was long-drawn, owing to in-depth research, booking procedures, service expectations, customer support, etc. This initiative will allow tourists to explore international locations independently and privately.

Avis even gives you a ‘Pay-later’ option, where you can reserve a car, and make the payment when you collect the car at the rental station abroad. Options like instant booking confirmation, GPS, one-way rental, unlimited mileage, the option to add drivers and a child safety seat, as well as car insurance that covers theft and damage, are sure to make the customers happy.

Avis India also offers complimentary international airport lounge access to all customers who book a car during the first month of its services.

So whether it is the long, wide roads in the US of A, or the amazing curvy roads in Europe, drive through picturesque locations with your friends and family. Do go through the blogs and videos of some international road trips that Avis has put up to plan your memorable international road trip.

However, do remember, that not all countries have right-hand-driven cars like ours. Additionally, traffic in other nations isn’t as chaotic, and motorists cannot get away with what they do there. So do make sure to drive safely, following all the rules, while being courteous to fellow vehicles on foreign roads.
