In fact, the website takes the concept of transparency to a whole new level by listing the names of all individual employees and even showing their attendance time and the time they leave the organization!

Employee names of every organization are listed along with their entry and exit timings.
Employee names of every organization are listed along with their entry and exit timings.

How is this all made possible? By integrating Aadhaar cards and biometric devices installed in central government offices! Every central government office is expected to submit their request for registration on the portal. After this, they are required to submit the list of their employees and then install the biometric devices at their entry points. Once the employees are registered on the portal, they can sign-in to their offices via these biometric devices at their offices which work on detecting fingerprints/irises.

As per this FAQ section on the site, 1 biometric device is required for around 50 employees of the organization. We believe this is a great use of technology to improve governance and to drive accountability amidst government employees! Do let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
