Meet Kerala’s 60-YO ‘Neymar’ Whose Football Skills Are Putting Youngsters to Shame!
James has been playing football for years, and even today, Kerala's 'Neymar' gives youngsters a run with his skills!
James PH, a 60-year-old truck driver, is a native of the thickly forested hill district of Wayanad, Kerala and a football fanatic.
Whether playing in his mundu or his red kit and cleats, he is unstoppable on the football field. With the agility of a 22-year old, James dribbles the ball, controlling it with his chest, and even juggles. He credits a handful of groundnuts eaten every day, as the secret to his athletic prowess.
James feels that the football fans today are lucky, as he and his friends had to walk kilometres to watch a World Cup match on a small black and white screen, back in the day.
Part of a star local team in his region in Kerala in the 1980s, James plays with young footballers of his village almost every day.
With the lush greenery of ‘God’s Own Country’ as his backdrop and monsoon clouds in the sky, watch James as he pays homage to the beautiful game, in the video below.
