Do you remember Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s pakoda speech that became the talk of the town? Well, a member of the National Students Union of India (NSUI) seems to have grabbed the opportunity and is selling over 300 kgs of pakodas in four hours every day.

Needless to say, the man has managed to make the kind of money most professionals spend years chasing!

Speaking to India Today magazine, Narayanbhai reveals that the idea of selling pakodas hit him after he heard the Prime Minister’s speech which said even selling pakodas is a form of employment and it is better to earn Rs 200 per day than staying unemployed.

While he decided to take up pakoda selling to challenge the notion, it seems to have turned into quite the lucrative business for him.

“I started with one pakoda stall with only 10 kgs of material. Now I sell pakodas of around 500 to 600 kg of material,” says Narayanbhai.

In two months, his pakoda business began to attract hordes of customers. He currently sells 100 grams of dal pakodas at Rs 10.

From 7 am to 11 am, the pakoda entrepreneur sells over 300 kg of dal vada. Multiply this by another batch of the same quantity in the evening!

If the pakoda seller makes Rs 10 rs per 100 grams of dal vada, a total sale of 300 kgs from his stalls earns him over Rs 30,000 in a mere span of four hours! While the labour and raw material costs have to be considered, the man is earning over nine lakhs per month!

Who would have thought selling pakodas could turn a man into a millionaire?
