CBSE 12th Results: Girls Take Top 3 Spots, Noida’s Meghna Srivastava Scores 99.8%!

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the results of the Class 12 board examination on Saturday, 26 May. This year, over 11,86,000 students appeared for the exams that were held in 4209 centres—out of which 4138 were in India and 71 outside the country.

Students eagerly waited for their results, and now that they are out, it looks like the girls outshone boys this year!

Meghna Srivastava, from Uttar Pradesh, secured a near perfect score with 499 marks out of 500. With 99.8%, she is the All-India Topper.

“I am happy, never expected this… Class XII is all about consistency. Also do not stress over boards. There is no secret, have to just work hard, be consistent. You just have to study throughout the year,” an ecstatic Meghna told NDTV.

Just one mark behind her is Anoushka Chandra from Uttar Pradesh, who scored 498 marks. With 497 marks, the third on the podium is Rajasthan’s Chahat Bodhraj.

Not just this, the pass rate for girls is 88.31% while for boys it is 78.99%. The top three regions in India with the best passing rates are Trivandrum with 97.32%, Chennai with 93.87% and Delhi with 89%.

These three girls certainly have a bright future ahead of them and are an inspiration for the students who will appear for their exams next year. Kudos to them!

In the differently-abled category, A Vijay Ganesh from Palakkad in Kerala has emerged as the national topper by securing 492 marks out of 500. He is followed by Pooja Kumari who scored 489 marks. The pass percentage for this category stands at 87.52 per cent.
