Applying for Birth, Death Certificates Made Super Simple in Gurugram!

While earlier, residents of Gurugram had to visit the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) office to apply for birth or death certificates, they no longer have to waste time in doing so.

The civic body has made life more convenient for Gurugram’s residents, by including an online option for such applications on their website.

Speaking to The Hindu about this initiative, Ashish Singla, Medical Officer (MCG), said that the MCG would also courier the certificates to the applicants once they are registered.

The applicant won’t have to pay for the cost of the delivery.

If you want to apply for a birth or death certificate, all you have to do is visit MCG’s official website (www.mcg.gov.in) and click on the Birth/Death Application option.

For registering a birth, you can apply for the registration only in case the event took place at home and is under the limit of MCG. For hospital cases, you will have to ask the concerned hospital The same applies to the process of registering a death.

You can also download both birth and death application forms from the website. In case you are already registered with the MCG, you can click on ‘search’ and find birth/death records on their website.

If there is any objection, the MCG will send an SMS to the applicant on their mobile number so that he/she can address the issue.
