Over 2500 Vacancies With the Railways for 2017-2018, Apply Now!

The Indian Railways is one of the world’s largest employers with over 14 lakh employees. If you or someone you know is keen on being employed by the Railways, then here is some good news for you. The South East Railways and South East Central Railways together are looking to fill over 2,500 vacancies across various trades.

South Eastern Railway has published a notification for the recruitment of 1785 Apprentice vacancies for the year 2017-18 for various trades.

Here are the relevant details:

Age Limit

The applicants’ age should be between 15 and 24 years as on January 1, 2018. The upper age limit is flexible up to 5 years in case of SC/ST Applicants, three years for OBC and ten years for physically handicapped Applicants.

Educational Qualification

The applicant should have passed 10th class from a recognized Board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (excluding additional subjects) and possess an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Pass certificate (in the trade in which Apprenticeship is to be done) granted by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).

Applicants should satisfy the minimum standard of physical fitness as mentioned in the notification.

Application Fees

Applicants will have to pay Rs 100 as application fee to apply for the examination through online mode from their account/debit card/credit card. However, the SC/ST/PWD/Women applicants are exempted from payment of fees.

• Go through the detailed instructions before filling the application form
• Note that all relevant information must be filled in the application form. Otherwise, the application can be cancelled
• Applicants need to indicate the mobile number and valid e-mail ID which needs to be active over the entire process of selection
