All you need is the mobile number, registered at the time of applying for Aadhaar enrolment to receive the One-time password (OTP) for login.

Steps to update Aadhaar card address:

Open the UIDAI website.
Click on the ‘Update Aadhaar Details (Online)’ tool. This tool can also be accessed through its link.
Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number
Click on ‘Send OTP’. (OTP is the one-time password that you will receive on the registered mobile number at the time of enrolment for Aadhaar).
Enter this OTP
Click on ‘Login’.

When it redirects you to the next page, select ‘Address’ from the list and proceed.
Fill in the correct details.
Make sure you double check the details thoroughly
Proceed.

The UIDAI has asked users to ensure that the information in English is transliterated correctly in the local language. The English spellings in the local language boxes may be modified to get the local language spelling correctly.

Once that is done, the Aadhaar card holder will be asked to submit a valid document to support the requested correction.

You have to upload original scan copies of the valid documents to avoid rejection of the update request.

The dropdown shows a number of available service providers and documents you can select from.

Then Proceed.

For your convenience, the system will also display the estimated time it will require to process your request after you submit it.

Once you submit the request, a URN or Update Request Number will be issued to you, to help track the status of the application.
