The soldiers' heroic act was appreciated by hundreds of Twitter users, who called them brave and thanked them for their courage.
Flash floods and landslides have cut off north Bengal from the rest of the country, with floodwaters inundating rail tracks and roads, affecting lakhs of civilians. And it’s only going to get worse as the weather department has predicted heavy rain today.
Though civilians are left in the lurch due to the floods, for the personnels of the Border Security Force (BSF), however, it’s just another day. They have been braving the floods and guarding the posts in waist-deep water.
The official Twitter handle of the BSF posted images of the jawans in two battalion areas, which went viral on social media. “Just another day on #Borders,” said the tweet.
Hundreds of users responded to BSF’s tweets, appreciating the efforts of the soldiers and thanking them for their courageousness. You can see the tweet here.
