This Is How 551 Million Votes Were Counted On India’s Election Results Day

As India’s 2014 election results started rolling out , many of us were unaware how exactly the votes are counted from the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). This instructional video, which was made for training purposes, explains how the EVM is opened, votes counted and noted down from each of these machines. And yes, there were 551 million votes counted!
