People for Parity is a social change initiative that envisions a world with gender peace. It works with youth and development organizations to enable non-violent dialogue within communities on transforming social norms and beliefs that discriminate on the basis of gender and affect the human rights of community members. We deeply imbibe values of empathy, restorative justice, inclusion and non-violence in our programs and approach.

Founded by IIT Delhi alumni and based in New Delhi, we are among the few social enterprises in the country which works with issues concerning all genders. One of five recipients of India Youth Fund 2014 (UN Habitat and Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation), and supported by the Tata Trusts, we are also a part of various youth organization networks – CYC Forum, Pravah Streaming Collective, UNOY Peacebuilders. We’re building gender movements across various cities in India and have made a beginning via –
• expertise in designing curricula that enables reflection, understanding and action on gender issues
• a flagship part-time gender fellowship program ‘Pratiti Gender Peace Fellowship’
• transforming lives of over 400 at-risk youth across Delhi, MP, UP, Bihar, and Rajasthan
• conducting gender education workshops with over 8,000 young people
• building capacities of ~25 government and non-government institutions including the police in 3 states to address gender issues within their systems and work

We are seeking a Program Do-er Officer based in Delhi, responsible for making impact happen in a dynamic start-up like environment. In this role, you will work closely with the program managers of Pratiti Gender Peace Fellowship to plan, execute and monitor the fellowship program in Delhi, Bhopal and Jaipur. Also, you will engage with the founders to mobilise resources to scale this program to Lucknow/Varanasi, Chandigarh and Patna. Other responsibilities will include supporting program teams with operations of other ongoing programs, with opportunities to learn and practice facilitation of activity based group learning sessions.

Our Program Do-er Officer will be a dynamic, high-energy individual with proven time management skills and able to work without a high level of supervision. The role requires working to tight deadlines.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Major roles and responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:
• Execution of Pratiti Gender Peace Fellowship in Delhi, Jaipur and Bhopal
o Building partnerships with NGOs across 3 cities
o Preparing action plan for the fellowships
o Closely managing ~20 youth fellows per city
o Guiding youth fellows during their fellowship
o Managing logistics for multiple events and workshops the 6 month fellowship
o Ensuring mobilisation for multiple events and workshops during this time
o Regularly collecting information for M&E frameworks

• Writing impact stories and creating outreach material for the fellowship
• Setting up stakeholder meetings to explore funding and partnerships to scale the fellowship
• Leading Hindi communication; including translation of requisite documents
• Supporting in administrative activities, as required
• Supporting other program teams in operational activities, as required

Desired candidate would have:
• Demonstrated passion for social change and gender issues
• Belief in human rights for all and willingness to work on systemic change
• Reading, writing and speaking proficiency in both English and Hindi
• Ability to create detailed plans and carefully manage their execution
• Communication skills to empathetically lead stakeholder conversations
• Experience in organising and managing events
• Writing skills to document program activities, and prepare impact stories
• Desire to travel to Tier II & III India
• Commitment to a start-up with no fixed days, timing and place of work
• Ability to work to deadlines, and self-manage their time
