Congrats, Ofcourse it’s a great attempt. I wish you all the best.

  • Biswajit Mohanty

Indeed, it is a better initiative to show casing the positive story accross the country. As per a recent information, only 5% space has used for social development related issue in India. So better India is a true platform for the positive and change making story.

Dear Dhimant and Anuradha, this site keeps getting better and better, everytime I visit here. The stories are inspiring and give us fuel and keep us motivated to continue our own quest to spread awareness about solar power in villages – sometimes can be frustrating to see so much kerosene being burnt and yet some people dont seem to see reason. Keep up the good work ! And keep us motivated ;)

  • Sravana

I am glad I happen to come across this sight. May you be always inspired to do such good work.

I still remember when “The Better India” was still beginning and you were researching VGKK for your first post. Since then, I have been following your posts. The background work is impressive and the posts are truly wonderful reading.

Keep it up!! Wish you all the best, better india.

  • Karthik

This is really cool (or hot :o )). Several years back I had read APJ Abdul Kalam mention about the necessity to see/hear positive news. After that I have thought about it, had ‘discussions’ about it, you have ‘acted’. I proud to know you Dhimant.

  • Karthik

My apologies if my previous comment can be misinterpreted as kudos only to Dhimant. My kudos to everyone who has been part of this experience.

  • hershaa

Luckily came upon this site…heartfelt congrats.. the unsung but REAL HEROES will see the light of day… and prove to be an inspiration for all of us.
Would having you linked with other social work sites give you wider publicity??
Like i had opened the MESH site and stumbled on yours.
    Best wishes.

this is by chance that i browsed through Better India. indeed a good initiative as media is mostly engaged in serving news related to rape, murder and we hardly find news that inspire people for self initiative.here in Ghaziabad i read lot about Ajay Shankar Pandey,Municipal commissioner, who I belive is an unsung hero and deserves space on better india. a bit of google search will give u fair idea

  • http://www.thebetterindia.com Dhimant Parekh

    Hi Dhimant/Anuradha

It is a pleasure to have look into your website so far. Interesting to
briefly know abt what you do.

I want to mention that i am working on a project which has
charity as one of its pillars. Needless to mention that financial
wellness preceeds charity bcoz while i work on my project i help
people earn money as well as help them retain their identity as an
individual. I am associated with RYTHM Foundation which is an acronym
for Raise Yourself To Help Mankind.

We believe that Charity is in everyone’s heart but how many of us are
able to do it in the truest sense ? I am not talking of helping
someone once in a while. The single most imp reason for not being able
to help others is the lack of money. I mean, I know NGOs with great
missions at heart are unable to implement their projects bcoz of
dearth of finance. that’s where my project helps build a pipeline of
money to achieve this mission. This can apply to individuals as well
    in a diff way.

Therefore, the Chinese Proverb is what we implement in our venture
which says ‘ Give a man a Fish to eat and you feed him for a Day,
teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.’

Am sure this brief helps give u an idea of my venture which operates
on commercial sense with Charity at the core.

To understand how this operates and explore if we can work together,
we would need to meet in person. Do let me know if we can meet in the
next couple of days at mutual convenience.

    Regards,
    Manish Soparkar (9821359888)

  • Stpai

    fantastik guys!! great initiative

let me tell you that the ToI / ET and main stream press has made it their job to scrouge for bad news..so much so that they have forgotten to look for positive news.. in fact, they down right ignore it. One ex, was when foreign tv news channels started covering CWG and told the world – its not bad at all …looks like most things are in good shape but why were we given bad news first??

    keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dowry system is completely removed from india and control the gold ornaments rate is constant and caste is also removed  and govt do not give concession for caste/community only for economic rate whoever is very poor economy then give the concession and vote election is removed it is very bad process only person is selected by unselfish and good characters even prime/chief minister also

  • Subbusunflower

youth will come to join politics and create a new india . everyone should incredible india by struggle against bad dowry system, caste, religion, partiality etc. all india speaks only one language. which language is very easy for all of us then we select this language and it is should come to govt officials. in china/russia/japan people speak only one language. we follow this country

  • Subbusunflower

to create a new india. no one beggar in the india how it is by youth people enter the politics to start homeage for beggar and do the basic facilities in villages.

  • Subbusunflower

Who is unselfish please come to politics then only india will saved otherwise it will destroyed. we should be concentrate on very weak economic people in every state/dist/city/town/villages.

  • Subbusunflower

we dont teach our children about religion customs ie, they wear partha, kulla and so on. because the children are minkled easily and no ego . so the govt will ordered that the school children do not wear partha, kulla and so on,  then the children will unity with them.

  • Subbusunflower

the govt should be developed our villages/towns by construct a new colleges/universities etc in that area then all students will stay in the villages/towns and to close liquor shops because lot of poor/middle class family members are suffered thatswhy the gove must be closed this liquor shops.  the govt should started insurance policies for agriculture, houses etc.

  • Subbusunflower

bharat ratna awards does not given to cinema stars and sports stars because their aim is money earning so this awards goes to defence and struggled for indian bad culture like dowry /caste.

  • Subbusunflower

the govt do not give money to suffered people for cyclone, heavy rains and tsunami and so on. the govt should take care of their life by permanent houses for every family  and it is far away from seashore and the govt should select the leader of these people only fishery man and not ordinary man. why govt wasted lot of money for election and election is benefits for only whoever elected members family and relatives only not our ordinary people.

  • Subbusunflower

please the police dept must be captured all robbery  in all over india.  the police dept should be watching in every street wise if anybody is doubt please put fir and take severe action and know about family background and if their family is very bad,  the family should be in police custody
