Sushmita Sen is not one to bend by anybody’s rules when it comes to living her life. The actress, who is known for marching to the beat of her own drums, has once again proved why she is loved by millions across India.
Through one Instagram post, she quietly yet eloquently shut down those who still asked her why she wasn’t married yet. In her note she writes, “WHY STILL #SINGLE they ask? WHY NOT? I answer ‘I AM’ secure in my choice and in being so, I can respect and appreciate another’s choice..whatever it may be.”
She goes on to explain that whether somebody is single or not, everybody is on the field playing to win in life. According to her, she is still to meet “the sire, who loves to play with fire.”
Her statement has struck a chord with single women who are often accosted with similar questions about their marital status by relatives and sometimes even by strangers. Many have taken to the comments section to commend the actress for her stance with many even calling her an inspiration!
