IAS Couple Sets Worthy Example With a No-Frills Court Wedding Costing Rs. 500!

In today’s extravagant world of lavish ceremonies, simple and thoughtful wedding celebrations are as rare as hens’ teeth.

But two IAS officers, Ashish Vashisht and Saloni Sadana, decided to go against the norm. The couple ditched the extravaganza and set an example for many by getting married at the Additional District Magistrate’s (ADM) office in Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh.

The wedding cost just Rs. 500, which was the court’s fee.

Once the training was over, Ashish was posted on probation in Gohad, Madhya Pradesh, and Saloni in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. After being in a long distance relationship for about two years, the couple decided to get married and to do it their own way.

Ashish hails from Alwar district in Rajasthan and Saloni is from Jalalabad in Punjab. Now that they are married, both of them might get posted in Madhya Pradesh, as per the government rules.
