Her identity is “that burned girl”. Every single day is like a burden for young Ragini. The deformed skin doesn’t allow Ragini even to look up.

“They say things. They call me burned girl,” says Ragini.

Just when Ragini and her worried parents thought that this is how the rest of their life will be, they met a man. A man who could solve their woes. And he did.

Dr. Subodh Kumar Singh is no ordinary man but a plastic surgeon who has dedicated his entire life serving the lesser privileged. As Director of G.S. Memorial Plastic Surgery Hospital in Varanasi, he treats 80% of the patients he sees for free. And a couple of hours of surgery changed Ragini’s life forever. He has cured her wounds, and after a few more sessions, he might clear the remaining scars too

He gave Ragini what she thought she would never get – the ability to look up in the sky.
